On the 31st of December 2009, Missionaries of Love and Mercy was established in Issele-Ukwu Diocese, Asaba, Delta State Nigeria. In response to the command given to Sr Stella-Maris by the Lord Jesus Christ and His Beloved Mother.
While she was praying about an issue,
Mother spoke to her 'We gave you a World Wide Mission of Love and Mercy and you are here worrying about papers.'
'They shall be called Missionaries of Love and Mercy because the mission we have given them is a world wide mission of love and mercy.'
Furthermore,
Mother Mary said 'they shall be fire lighters, banner bearers, torch bearers and Jesus' hands and feet in the world.'
The Lord Jesus promised 'And my passion shall be their strength.'
Further revelations revealed our name, our mission, our logo, our charism and so on.
The very first set of Missionaries were divinely drawn together by the Holy Spirit and they were sent on mission in the year of mission. coming back they assembled in Asaba, Nigeria and began their formation in order to make them true missionaries according to the Divine Will. Three years later they completed their training and underwent first profession of vows and official commissioning as missionaries by the bishop. 7 years later they took their final vows and became the members of the MLM Leadership Team under the The Lord's Tiny Handmaid and the rest of the Board. All new member follow the same process under scrutiny and diligent assessment and screening before being commissioned missionaries of the Catholic Church.
